Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Surveys: Homes, Offices, Classrooms

Indoor air pollutants include:

  • Mold and Bacteria

  • Asbestos and Lead Paint

  • Household Chemicals

  • Pet Dander

  • Radon - Carbon Monoxide

Indoor pollutants have been determined to be responsible for problems such as fatigue, headaches, allergies, and respiratory infections.  Statistics show elderly, immune compromised individuals, and children under 5 to be the most affected.

Builders developing energy efficient structures in the 70's, 80's and 90's and focusing on "air tight" buildings has resulted in many indoor air problems such as "Sick Building Syndrome".

All IAQ Surveys are completed by a (Certified Industrial Hygienist) C.I.H. with degrees in microbiology or related fields, using state of the art testing methods.

The objectives of the IAQ Survey are to:

Identify a problem exists

Determine extent of problem

Recommend corrective options

Develop a protocol to eliminate the problem

We at Mold Medic can refer numerous environmental testing firms to sample indoor air quality (sample evaluation done by E.P.A. Certified Laboratory), interpret environmental test results, consult and develop the scope of work to eliminate mold, provide written cost breakdowns, and provide property owners with a certificate of re-occupancy by a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
